Poster 2: Priyanka Chopra in and as 'Mary Kom'

Here is the much awaited second poster of the Priyanka Chopra starrer 'Mary Kom'. Peecee tweeted it saying, "Heart. Blood. Sweat. Soul. I've given it my all. Over to you guys now! #MaryKomFirstLook #FightLikeAGirl ..here goes ".

The movie by Sanjay Leela Bhansali is directed by Omung Kumar. The film is based on the life of Olympic medalist Mary Kom. It stresses the challenges faced by Mary and her triumph against all odds.

Peecee had mentioned in an interview, "Yes, I have lost weight as I am training myself for my next film. I am working hard to build muscles for my character, which is inspired by Mary Kom. This film talks about how to grab the right opportunity, work hard and how sheer hard work can bring success. I am very nervous about the film as it is very close to my heart."

Also, touched by the tremendous response to the poster, Priyanka tweeted, "I'm so overwhelmed by your reactions.Thank u all so much.This one is for all those who wanted to be bigger than they were told they could be."

The movie is set to release on September 5th.

New Delhi: The first look of Priyanka Chopra's much awaited biopic `Mary Kom` is finally out.

Priyanka, who will be seen playing Olympic medal-winning boxer Mary Kom in a biopic, had said earlier that the sports drama is the `hardest` film of her career.

Priyanka Chopra back in Mumbai for dad’s death anniversary

Mumbai, June 9: Actress Priyanka Chopra, who was busy shooting for “Dil Dhadakne Do” in Europe, is back to Mumbai in time for the first death anniversary of her father Ashok Chopra. A street here, close to the actress’ residence, will be named after him.

Her father, a doctor who retired from the Indian Army in 1997 as a lieutenant colonel, passed away June 10, 2013, due to cancer.

Now, a year later, a street in Yari Road is to be named after him. His “little girl” Priyanka is at peace being at home.

“The home is where the heart is. Good to be in mumbai. Tizzying hyper emotions…extremes in every way…yet a stillness that’s hard to explain,” Priyanka posted on Twitter.

The street naming ceremony is likely to be attended by close family and friends as well as members of the NGOs that Ashok Chopra was associated with.
